2006 was the most successful year in the over 30 year history of Wampfler in Australia.

It was another very successful and exciting year for Wampfl er Australia. Driven by the strong growth in infrastructure projects for the resource industry mainly in Queensland and Western Australia, but increasingly also in the New Castle area, Wampfler repositioned itself as one of the key leaders for mobile electrifi cation and data transmission systems in Australia and New Zealand.

With significant development of our local Engineering capabilities, many of our products are now assembled locally. As the only real product “full-liner” in Australia, we have recorded growth in nearly all our product lines. Wampfler products were also supplied to major projects for the iron ore industry in Western Australia.

On the 1st January 2007 an exciting journey for Wampfl er had begun. With the merger of Wampfler and the conductive division of the French Delachaux Group we are now clearly number one in the fi eld of mobile electrifi cation and data transmission systems. Together with the experience of the Delachaux Group we will now be able to effectively serve our customers with high quality products and services.

The clear focus of Wampfl er Australia is to further increase our involvement in the Mining and Materials Handling Industry in Australia. We also plan to signifi cantly develop our business with cable carriers and special cables in the automation and robotics industry.

Our young and very enthusiastic team is always looking for improvements in products and services. After a very successful review of our OHS procedures in 2007 and the complete reorganization of our warehouse and workshop in Brisbane we will strongly focus on our Quality Assurance program and on the implementation of a new and very efficient ERP software system.
